Question about protein and when to take it throughout the day?

I’m coming up with a protein plan for my daily schedule. I work out six times a week (Biceps, triceps, back, shoulders, legs, chest) and need to figure out the best times to take protein and what kinds to take. Right now I have this written up.

Wake up: 25 g whey protein

Before workout: 25 g whey protein + NO xplode

After workout: 25 g whey protein + weight gain shake (includes 70g of a mix of proteins, whey, egg, and casein.

Before sleep: 30g of casein protein

Throughout the day I will be eating 3 meals a day normally which will provide me with protein ( I usually eat chicken, meat, pasta, etc.) I also have protein bars with 30 g a piece that I will take if I need to. My weight is 150lbs and I’m trying to gain. It was recommended I consume 180-240g of protein daily.

Your diet is right on target!!! I wouldn’t change a thing, except to double check that you’re getting at least 30 grams of fiber a day. You’re using BSN’s NOexplode, so if you’re using BSN’s Syntha-6 protein blend, each serving of that has 5 grams of fiber. Just check your fiber intake and keep doing what you are doing.
ps…good choice on the casein at night!!!!

Pretty good! The NO-Xplode will work better if you take it alone 30 minutes before workout. I would take the whey 60 minutes before workout.

And lastly, NO-Xplode is child’s play compared to some other pre-workout stimulants. If you want to have some real fun, try USP Labs Jack3d or Gaspari SuperPump 250.
