for my pre/post workout meals I need simple carbohydrates because the body uses the carbs as energy faster than complex carbs, so I’ll take 2 cups of 100% grape juice, 1/3 cup of mixed frozen fruit, 2 table spoons of honey, a cup of yogurt, 35 grams of plain egg white protein powder, and a hand full of ice. This equals to like 2 grams of fat, 140 carb, and 45 grams of protein
Your body asborbs as much protein as it needs at the moment. If you like coffee flavor shakes you should try Nectar Cappuccino. If you up your protein to about 80-100 grams it will take a few weeks but your hair will get better. Also try biotin capsules. I take one 5000 mcg a day.
are you still putting them in pretty cups like in your last video to help you drink it? I also thought that WLS people were suppose to take biotin to help keep their hair?
Glad to see you are back! I enjoy your vids.
This looks super good. Does the blender do the ice okay? Have you heard of that powdered peanut butter? meltingmama shows recipes on her channel. I’ve never tried it but it sounds good I guess. Just had a quick question, What has been the hardest part of postop life? I want to be as prepared as possible. Thanks Chick. You’re looking great. I’m really seeing the difference between visits. How’s the gym going?
everyone has a lot of advice for you…hahahaha but here is my .02..;o) .. My understanding is your body cannot absorb more than 30 g of protein in one meal anyway – so you may want to use 1 scoop. That will give you 26g and however much protein you get from the milk then you are good to go – you can stretch your powder out longer too !! Yes get in that protein!! it also helps with building your muscles with you working out so much- keep up the good work!!!!

sugar alcohol does not affect your sugar/insulin levels so you can subtract it and fiber from the total carb count when calculating “bad carbs”
