is there a big difference between protein bars and meal replacement bars?

im trying to keep my protein up because its impossible for me to eat alot of small meals or a few large meals due to my work schedule. somebody recommended protein bars in between meals while im at work and somebody else said meal replacement bars is the way to go. whats best for me?
